WI-FI ACCESSIBILITY FOR STUDENTS

There are countries that don’t provide enough public Wifi spaces. For educational purposes, this situation represents an important issue for students that don’t have Wifi access in their homes. The global pandemic has highlighted areas in almost every community where public wi-fi does not exist and where households are unable to afford Internet plans.

BIG DATA NEEDS

For project purposes, we settled the specific user target affected by network issues.

Need: Access to reliable Wifi to attend remote learning classes and complete assignments. If students need to complete research projects, they need to have reliable and accessible tools to work online.
User: High school and college students that do not have consistent access to Wi-Fi.

Wifi hotspot rental for students.
Public free Wifi mapping for users trying to reach a network in a specific zone.
Wifi students communities (Reward system).
Neighbour sharing system.
Wifi tester with solution protocol to help to improve the speed quality of the network.
Node model derived from NYC Mesh available exclusively to students by student card and class code registration to connect to the internet and share with classmates during after-class hours
QR Code encryption with Wi-Fi quota per month to allocate Wifi access of students

PROPOSAL SOLUTION

A diagnostic system that analyzes the current Wi-Fi access situation of users (survey and Wi-Fi tester) and helps them obtaining customized solutions for their specific situation.
